Welcome back Year 3/4, September 2020.
Home Learning Week Commencing 13.07.2020
At St Joseph's our children are taught English following a Talk for Writing approach. The following link will allow children to access a unit of work (this work will cover two weeks). School have made a voluntary donation to Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in order to access these resources. Please use the link below to access the resources.
As we have reached our final week in the school year we have planned some alternative home learning based on another faith. We hope the children will enjoy the range of activities. Maths work is available as usual.

My name is Miss Doxey and I am the Year 3 and 4 Class Teacher.
The Teaching Assistants throughout the week are Mrs Shirley and Mr Lomas.
The children will be doing PE on a Monday and Friday afternoon therefore, they will need their full PE kit in School all week.
The children will be studying Spanish on a Friday afternoon-bien hecho!
Homework will be given out on a weekly basis on Wednesdays and needs to be handed in on the following Monday. The children will also study a spelling rule in class, words containing the spelling rule should be practiced at home ready for a spelling check on Fridays. Please continue to listen to your child read regularly and test their times tables knowledge; by the end of Year 3 they should aim to know the 1,2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times tables and the Year 4's should know them all!
Your child will attend Forest School sessions in the Autumn. Forest School is an exciting way for children to experience outdoor education in a woodland setting. The sessions will be on Wednesday afternoons 1.10-3pm.
The children will be assessed on the end of year expectations which support the New National Curriculum. To view these please click on the 'Curriculum' tab and click on the 'End of Year Expectations' link.
You are always welcome to discuss any concerns and we do appreciate time spent at home supporting children with their work.
