Welcome to Year 6.
My name is Mrs Barratt and I am the Year 6 Class Teacher.
The Teaching Assistants are Mrs Parker and Mrs Scully.
Our Topics for the year are:
Autumn 1: Can war bring peace?
Autumn 2: Did the Plague mean Death?
Spring 1+Spring 2: Can you take a small step?
Summer 1: Can you see through somebody else's eyes?

In preparation for secondary school children will received homework linked to a lesson they have been taught. In addition to this, home learning projects will be set for homework when appropriate.The children will also study a spelling rule in class, words containing the spelling rule should be practised at home. Please continue to listen to your child read regularly and test their times tables knowledge; by the end of Year 6 they should aim to know all of the timetables 1-12.
Your child will attend Forest School sessions in the Summer term. Forest School is an exciting way for children to experience outdoor education in a woodland setting. The sessions will be on Friday afternoons 1.10-2.40pm.
